HerpCoir is made from sustainably sourced coconut husk, providing a natural and environmentally friendly substrate suitable for a wide variety of species and enclosure types.

When hydrated, the substrate expands into a soft, natural material that retains moisture effectively, helping to maintain stable humidity levels. This makes it ideal for species that require higher humidity environments, while also supporting natural digging and burrowing behaviours.

The sterilisation process ensures the substrate remains clean and resistant to mould and decay, even when kept damp. It can also be used dry for species that require lower humidity conditions, making it a highly versatile option.

Its soft, non-abrasive texture makes it suitable for juvenile animals and species with more delicate skin, while its absorbent properties help control odours within the enclosure.

To prepare, simply soak the compact brick in water and allow it to fully expand before use.
