Approx Clutch Size Guide for Ball Pythons

Each model holds a different number of clutches. The shelves are all removable so can hold more clutches if all are removed. The number of clutches will also vary depending on the type and size of incubation tubs that you use.

These are approximates based on 9L RUBs. If for example you use smaller tubs such as 5L Rubs the 16L would fir x2 clutches with the shelf removed.

Description

The range of HerpXotics Reptile Incubators are professional, high quality units designed to provide your precious reptile eggs with the utmost care and security.

Especially designed for reptiles; they maintain the set temperature without influence from the external temperature. Keeping your eggs safe during the coldest winters and hottest heatwaves. These incubators achieve this homeostasis with exceptional insulation and a thermostatically controlled heating and cooling system that switches use depending on external factors to maintain the set temperature.

HerpXotic Reptile Incubators are for the beginner who is unsure about their first clutch of eggs; as well as experienced breeders who demand the best for their reptiles. The larger models have space for a large number of clutches; keeping your breeding business running without any stress! Take your reptile breeding to the next level!

Featuring an exceptionally accurate digital thermostat, the HerpXotics Incubators ensure that your reptile eggs will remain in their ideal incubation environment prior to hatching. With precise temperature control and an accuracy of +/-1.5C, you can rest assured that your eggs are kept under perfect conditions to ensure optimal growth and hatching success. The ability to cool as well as warm the eggs ensures temperatures remain constant. A common issue during reptile egg incubation is heat spikes, particularly with the increasingly hot British summers. Heat spikes can cause issues like undesired sexes in TSD (temperature sex determined) species like Leopard Geckos, all the way up to kinks and deformities in the incubating young due to developmental problems. The insulating nature and refrigerating function of these professional units eliminates these problems.

The cooling functionality of these incubators gives them a secondary purpose as an brumation or hibernation chamber. Many species of colubrid require a period of cooling in order to successfully reproduce. This is often achieved through placing them in tubs in a cool room, such as a basement, garage, understairs cupboard or cellar. However this can lead to issues as if ambient temperatures become too high, a common problem in the UK due to our unpredictable seasons; often animals will become too warm, which can lead to poor reproductive rates, or even them using reserves too quickly which can lead to death.

This is also a great option for hibernating Tortoise species, such as Hermann’s and Horsfield’s. In the past many keepers place these animals in a box of hay in a shed or other outbuilding. These can often become too warm and the animal won’t go into full ‘hibernation mode’. Hibernating these animals at a constant temperature in a HerpXotics incubator removes this issue and provides a safe method of getting them through the winter months. Please note: it is important to decrease temps steadily prior to hibernation, and then increase them steadily at the end in order to prevent any form of temp shock.

All HerpXotic incubators come with glass doors, a thermostat with continuous temperature display, LED lights, air circulation system with activated carbon filtration, heating and cooling.

Available in 5 different sizes; that differ in size and capacity.
