Sphagnum moss is widely used in vivarium setups due to its ability to absorb and retain large amounts of moisture, helping to maintain stable humidity levels within the enclosure.
It is ideal for creating humid hides, supporting shedding in reptiles, and providing suitable conditions for species that require higher humidity environments.
The moss can be placed on top of substrate, used within hides, or incorporated into bioactive setups to improve moisture retention and create more natural environmental conditions.
It can also be used for nesting and egg-laying setups, or added to incubation containers to help maintain consistent humidity levels.
To keep the moss in optimal condition, lightly mist with water as required to maintain moisture.
