All Rats come in packs of 10. The price you see is for a pack containing 10. Please note to guarantee frozen on arrival the minimum order is £50. Frozen orders under £50 cannot be guaranteed frozen upon delivery. All orders are packed in poly boxes with dry ice.
Delivery is £15 regardless of the amount ordered so stock up! Rodents will keep safe in the freezer for at least 6 months. It is next Day delivery on Frozen Rodents if ordered before 12 Noon Monday – Thursday. Orders placed Friday – Sunday would be shipped on the Monday for Tuesday delivery.
These Frozen Rats have been specifically bred to feed exotic pets, such as snakes. They are all produced on fully licenced farms in Europe, where they are raised on high quality diets in clean environments and dispatched in a humane manner prior to being flash frozen and shipped to our warehouse where they are stored in specially designed walk in freezers.
Rats make a great food source for many animals as due to being a whole prey item they provide a complete balanced diet of protein, fat, vitamins and minerals. As well as being a great food source for various snake species; particularly pythons and boas. Rats also make a great food option for carnivorous mammals; such as Skunks, Genets, Mongoose, and Cats; as well as birds of prey like Eagles, Hawks, and Owls.
Our range of frozen rats are available in 13 different weight brackets. The smaller range of the weight bands enables precise purchasing of the size required for your animal. In general with snakes the rule is to feed them a prey item that is slightly larger than the middle of their body.
