Frozen mice are one of the most commonly used feeder rodents for snakes and other carnivorous reptiles. As a whole prey item they provide a complete nutritional profile including protein, fat, vitamins and essential minerals.

They are particularly suitable for feeding many snake species including ball pythons, corn snakes and other small to medium sized reptiles. Mice can also be used as an occasional food source for large reptiles such as monitors, tegus and amphibians, as well as birds of prey and carnivorous mammals.

Our frozen mice are bred on dedicated rodent farms in Europe and are regularly tested for salmonella. All rodents are health certified by veterinarians and processed in accordance with UK and EU food safety guidelines. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness and quality of our rodents, and they are carefully processed and frozen without the radiation treatments sometimes used on imported feeder rodents.

These weight brackets allow reptile keepers to select the most appropriate prey size for their animal. As a general rule when feeding snakes, the prey item should be slightly larger than the widest part of the snake’s body.

Rodents can be safely stored in a freezer for up to 6 months when kept frozen.

Frozen Rodent Delivery Information

Frozen rodents are shipped in insulated poly boxes packed with dry ice to ensure they remain frozen during transit.

• Minimum order value for guaranteed frozen delivery: £50  
• Delivery cost: £15 flat rate  
• Orders placed before 12 noon Monday–Thursday are shipped the same day for next day delivery  
• Orders placed Friday–Sunday will be shipped Monday for Tuesday delivery
