HabiStat Vermiculite can be used as a substrate for egg laying or as a natural incubation medium. Made from exfoliated volcanic rock, Vermiculite is an excellent retainer of high levels of moisture. Vermiculite’s composition ensures that it will not decompose or go mouldy.
As well as an incubation medium, it can also be used as a substrate for small spiders and invertebrates that require high humidity. Available in a fine or coarse grade; and sold in 5L and 10L recyclable paper bags.
Directions:
Moisten to desired level to use as a substrate for invertebrates or mix with HabiStat coir to add texture for burrowing species. For use as egg incubation add water to desired level to maintain humidity for your eggs.
